PAST EVENTS October 3, 2008 August 22, 2008 On August 22, more than 300 supporters gathered at Chicago hot-spot The Underground to celebrate the Orbit White's national support of Bright Pink. Guests enjoyed cocktails, great music and hundreds of packs of gum and more than $10,000 was raised to benefit Bright Pink. June 29, 2008 May 2, 2008 On Friday, May 2, more than 500 Chicagoans turned out for a lavish fashion show and cocktail party. Of those 500+, more than 100 of the attendees were our very own Bright Pink girls. Kelli Zinc, from Celebtv.com and Steven Rosengard, Project Runway alum, hosted the event. Guests sipped Vanille Royale cocktails and danced late in to the night. More than $20,000 was raised to support Bright Pink's mission of providing education, support and a sense of community to young women at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. March 5, 2008 On March 5, 2008, more than 125 NYC supporters gathered at the hip and trendy mid-town lounge, The Volstead to officially kick-off the Bright Pink NYC chapter. The room was filled with high risk young women and breast cancer survivors, as well as their loved ones. More than $3,000 was raised for Bright Pink. February 1, 2008 On February 1, 2007 more than 425 Chicagoans joined for the 2nd Annual V.I.Pink event at Le Passage to celebrate a successful year of growth and impact. Close to $14,000 was raised and everyone had a fabulous time! October 11, 2007 On October 11, 2007, Vanille Royale hosted the "Celebrate a Brighter Tomorrow" event at Stone Lotus in Chicago, IL to celebrate the efforts of Bright Pink. More than 200 guests enjoyed cocktails, Hors d'oeuvre and french manicures provided by the exclusive Joseph Michael's Salon and Spa. October 5, 2007 On October 5, more than 300 people came out to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in a big and bright way by attending the sold-out Power of Pink event at the Chicago hot-spot, the Underground. Guests enjoyed Pink Promise and Bright Pinktini cocktails and danced, helping raise more than $8,000 for Bright Pink. August 19. 2007 On August 19, more than 350 Chicagoans of all ages ventured out to the Famous Manny's Coffee Shop and Deli in the South Loop to enjoy an extravagant brunch buffet and raise funds and awareness for Bright Pink. The event featured an extensive silent auction where bidders were able to buy everything from VIP White Sox Tickets to a week long stay at a fabulous resort in Mexico, to a guitar signed by all of the American Idol contestants. Additionally, be.ology proudly launched the be.bright t-shirt in slate and pink, which will be sold online and at retailers nationwide, with 15% of the proceeds benefiting Bright Pink. Overall, more than $22,000 was raised for the cause and nobody left hungry! July 17. 2007 On Tuesday, July 17th, 2007, 350 of Young Hollywood's finest gathered at the gorgeous Beverly Hills home of philanthropist Peter Kleidman for the Bright Pink Young Hollywood Benefit produced by In 2 It Media to raise money & awareness for breast cancer. Guests enjoyed cocktails by NUVO, the first sparkling pink vodka liqueur, and Hansens natural soda and Monster Energy Drink. Celebrity chef Christopher Brugler aka Challah King of Beverly Hills treated guests to a delicious menu of gourmet dishes. Partygoers were able to Shop For a Cure and purchase beautiful pink diamond and gemstone jewelry from Ice.com and the brand new line of yoga wear and spa products from the Travertine Spa. The silent auction featured incredible items like a real life "Top Gun" experience featuring a 45 minute ride in a MIG Jet Fighter, a gift basket with the hottest pink electronics and accessories from NewEgg.com, luxury spa products and spa treatments from both Leaf & Rusher & Dermalogica, a LOVE necklace from eco-couture designer Annatarian and super chic handbags from Charlie Lapson. Guests enjoyed the amazing view and beautiful weather while chilling out in the rose colored LoveSacs on the deck and surrounded by lovely pink floral arrangements donated by Flowers by Vicki. Palmistry expert Lisa Greenfield treated guests to complimentary readings, while partygoers danced to beats by Goldfingers. Lindsay Avner, the founder of Bright Pink, ( www.bebrightpink.org) and her mother, breast cancer survivor Wendy Avner, shared their moving story with everyone which inspired guests to get involved with the foundation's mission of reaching women in their 20's & 30's. R&B artist Justyn Matthew performed a soulful set of songs off of his new album and came off tour with Jon B., Mint Condition and DeBarge to support the event. On hand to support the event were actress Rachael Leigh Cook ("The Final Season", "Nancy Drew"), MTV VJ & actress Susie Castillo, actor Alfonso Ribeiro ("Fresh Prince of Bel Air"), American Idol finalist and star of "The Bold & The Beautiful" Constantine Maroulis, NFL star Michael Braggs of the Kansas City Chiefs, NBA Stars Dijon Thompson of the Cleveland Cavaliers & Andre Patterson of the Los Angeles Lakers, Academy award nominated actress Sally Kirkland, actor Derek Phillips of "Friday Night Lights", Producer Michael Wasserman ("The Final Season") & DJ Spylce. Party guests took home Saskatoon Berry pies and Ice.com gift bags complete with cool products from Monarchy, Simply Organics, Dermalogica, Leaf & Rusher, Dr. Tatoff, NUVO & a very special Bright Pink " Very Into Pink" custom T-shirt designed by Solid Threads. June 14, 2007 On June 14, Bright Pink and Exhale Spa hosted an exhilirating Vinyasa Flow yoga class and Shopping Soirree. Women and men of all ages joined together for pink mojitos and martinis, pink polish changes, and an unforgettable yoga class, raising funds and awareness for Bright Pink's efforts to encourage young women to be pro-active with their health. May 17, 2007 Bright Pink threw an exclusive benefit at P.M. Lounge in New York City's hip meat packing district. Supporters from all around the country joined together for a private cocktail reception to support Bright Pink. March 4, 2007 On May 4, more than 350 people joined together to enjoy sushi and a cocktail reception at Reserve. February 9, 2007 Miami Law Women hosted The Pink and White Party benefitting Bright Pink at the Sagamore Hotel in early February. The event was a complete success and will occur annually each February before Valentine's Day. January 5, 2007 Bright Pink officially launched its website in style at Stone Lotus, an ultra chic liquor spa in Chicago.  We filled the venue and raised more than $12,000 for Bright Pink.
