Megan Malli
Ambassador
Atlanta
Megan grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, where she graduated from Carnegie Mellon with her BS in Business and her Master in Public Policy. Today she lives in Midtown, Atlanta with her dog, Winnie, and works as an Account Supervisor at an interactive advertising agency by day and as a fitness instructor by night. For the past 15 years Megan has been working as a breast cancer advocate. When Megan was only 2 her mother (age 38) was diagnosed with breast cancer. Every other year for the next 10 years she was diagnosed with new occurrences. In 2003, after her aunt was diagnosed she and her mom went through genetic testing, the results were negative. With those results Megan’s passion for educating and empowering women to take an active role in their breast and general health grew. Every year since 2003 she has gone to Capitol Hill to lobby and advocate for cancer, and women’s health. Today she owns and wears a lot of pink, but not because it’s a pretty color, because it sends a statement (Megan’s favorite color is Blue). |
